COSTUMES come in many types, from simple masks and gloves to full body suits and large walkaround suits. Many approaches and techniques can be utilized in the creation of costumes:

• sewn spandex and/or fur suits.

• direct construction suits in soft foam surfaced with combinations fabric, fur, latex and/or silicone rubber.

• suits sculpted over actor's head and/or body castings, molded and cast in foam latex, urethane foams, vacuum plastics and/or foams.

For larger suit additions, backpacks can be incorporated to support pvc pipes or aluminum armatures.

Costumes can give added control and infinite variations and for smaller creatures, little people can wear small suits that would otherwise need to be animatronic.
